PRIME – Postal services working together to improve value-added letter products
In a world of instant online communication and 'same day' courier delivery, today's customers are expecting more and more from their postal services.
They demand friendly customer service, and reliability is more important than speed. They are prepared to pay extra for Delivery confirmation for important letters. And they would like to be able to track it via Posts' website. Last but not least they want to be sure of a quick compensation settlement, if things go wrong.
That's where Prime delivers the future of International Letter Services, providing its members with a system that collects and monitors despatch and delivery data about Registered, Exprès and Insured services.
PRIME, an initiative by a number of Postal Operators, in association with the International Post Corporation, to develop and improve value added letters e.g. Registered, Exprès and Insured services. Today, 100 public postal operators are members of PRIME.
PRIME's objective is to boost members' services by:
- Ensuring the quality of Value-Added Letter services through monitoring the electronic exchange of delivery information.
- Maximising the number of postal operators that use the integrated Customer Service System (CSS) for a faster, more efficient enquiry service for customers.
- Encouraging more postal services to work with PRIME to extend the market for PRIME members and, consequently, their customers.
